The Indian team is currently ranking 3rd in the ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings. they won its last ODI series 2-1 against West Indies During the tour of West Indies, after losing the Home Series to Australia by 1-2. India has won 9 out of its 12 matches in the year 2023 till date.
India’s recent T20 matches against Ireland saw Bumrah and Prasidh return to form, while Rahul and Iyer is trying to regain full fitness at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. Suryakumar Yadav and Sanju Samson, failed to capitalize their opportunities with limited matches before the World Cup 2023 in October. The right-handed Indian talent, selected in the Asia Cup India Squad as an Opening Batsman. he is currently considered as one of the best young cricketers in the world. Subhman Gill holds the record for youngest batsman to score a double century in One Day International cricket, which he made against New Zealand at Hyderabad on 18 January 2023 and holds the record of highest T20 score by an individual (126 not out against New Zealand) for the Indian team.
Gill Played his first International Test Match on 26 December 2020, against Australia. his 91 runs in the fourth Test at the Gabba help India to win the series against Australia. Gill made his first One Day International century in the third ODI against Zimbabwe. On 16 December 2022, Gill scored the first century of his Test career against Bangladesh.
